Paladin Sports Outreach has announced the addition of former professional basketball player Tyler Desrosiers as the new Paladin Basketball Club Director. Desrosiers will be coaching and leading both the Select and Club basketball programs.

“The addition of Tyler to our organization is a testament to the commitment our staff has to grow a high quality, affordable and Christ-centered club basketball program in the East Valley,” said Paladin Sports Director of Programs & Operations Blake Wilsford.

Paladin Sports Outreach began providing recreational basketball programming for San Tan Valley and Queen Creek youth in 2010. The organization’s recreational basketball programs have seen incremental growth over the past years, launching the initial Basketball Club with its first teams in 2021.

“I am very excited to be given this opportunity to be the club basketball director here at Paladin Sports Outreach,” said Desrosiers. “I am looking forward to making an impact ON and OFF the court for all of the kids and also the parents that choose to come through our club basketball program. My goal is to get the best out of every single individual and help them grow from kids into young adults. Thank you to everyone for this opportunity!”

From playing as a kid in Agawam, Massachusetts to playing professionally overseas in Spain, and back to Massachusetts to coach at his high school Alma mater, Coach Tyler’s  knowledge is suited to help all those that wish to play at the next level.

Paladin Basketball Club’s Select Basketball program will hold assessments for the Spring season on Saturday, February 1 and Saturday, February 8 at Mountain Vista Academy from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. For more information and to register for assessments, please visit our Select Basketball page.
