What We Believe
We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In this Trinity God created all, upholds all, and governs all things. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4: Isaiah 44:8 and 48:16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:3)
We believe that all the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the fully inspired Word of God and fully without error today. We believe that the Bible is the infallible authority of faith and practice. The Word of God is the foundation of which this organization operates and the basis for which we are governed. (Isaiah 28:13; Nehemiah 8:8; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:3-4 and 1:21)
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, eternal and personal Spirit. He is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love and He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men. God hears and answers prayer and He saves from sin and death all those who believe and come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalms 90:2; Psalms 102:27; John 3:16 and 4:24; 1Timothy 1:17; Titus 1:3)
We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe God chose Mary as His virgin human mother. We believe this miracle establishes the reality that He Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully human. We believe that He is one, and the same as God. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-35) We believe that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, and this legitimizes His ability to die a sacrificial death and save men from their sins. (John 8:29; Hebrews 1:7; 7:26) We believe that all of the miracles that Jesus Christ accomplished were literal and this confirmed his divinity to those witnessing them first hand and who read of them today. We believe His miracles offer convincing evidence of His deity and the truth of His teaching. (John 2:11; 2:23; 7:31; 11:47; 12:37)
We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit. We believe that the following characteristics ascribed to the Holy Spirit establish his personhood: knowledge, a decision-making mind, and the ability to love and feel emotion. (1 Corinthians 2:10-11; Romans 8:27; 1 Corinthians 12:11, Romans 15:30; Ephesians 4:30) We believe the person of the Holy Spirit was promised and given to believers by Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:4; Luke 24:49; Joel 2:28-29) We believe the role of the Holy Spirit is clearly defined in scripture as “another comforter” (Greek- “parakletos”). We believe that He abides and dwells in all believers. We believe His ministry is to come alongside and help all believers as they rely and depend on Him. (John 14: 16-17) We believe the scriptures clearly show the action of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit teaches, reminds, and testifies about Jesus Christ and his teaching throughout scripture. The Holy Spirit leads and strives with believers throughout scripture. (John 14:26; 15:26; Acts 16:2, 7; Genesis 6:3) We believe that the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit is evident in believers who receive Him, rely on Him, and serve Him. (Acts 1:8)
We believe that man was created in the image of God but was separated from God by sin and shall be judged. We believe that only through the Blood of Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:22; Romans 3:23; Hebrews 9:27; Romans 5:12)
We believe in the perfect life of Jesus Christ and His substitutionary atoning death. We believe His death saves all men who believe in Him from eternal separation from God, and gives them an abundant life while living on earth. (John 10:10-11; Romans 5:8-9; 1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9; 9:28) We believe in Jesus Christ’s bodily resurrection on the third day, and His ascension into heaven. We believe this provides believers with a certainty that they worship and serve a God who lives and intercedes for them. (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:4; Mark 16:19)
