Annual Golf Classic Fundraiser a Success with Record Turnout
Over 140 golfers and several generous donors turned out at Lone Tree Golf Club for 2nd Annual Paladin Golf Classic
What an incredible day on the greens! Our 2nd Annual Paladin Golf Classic was a resounding success, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome. The support from our amazing golfers, generous sponsors, and the entire community made this event truly memorable. Here’s a recap of the fantastic day we had!
First and foremost, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the golfers who participated in the tournament. With a record turnout of over 140 golfers, along with their enthusiasm, skill, and sportsmanship, Paladin Sports Outreach was able to raise a significant amount of money for it’s faith-based recreational and club sports programming. The event itself was a fun-filled day thanks to the help of our incredible volunteers, the staff of Lone Tree Golf Club, and those who came and played some golf!
We want to extend a special thank you to our incredible sponsors, your commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is commendable, and we are grateful to have had you as part of our event. Custom Golf Cars of Mesa, Positive Home Entertainment, El Dorado, Raising Canes and Lotus Restoration — thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to our event, you were integral in making this event possible. A huge shoutout goes to The Fix Coffee for keeping our golfers energized throughout the day. Your delicious coffee was the perfect fuel for our participants. And what’s a golf tournament without hardware? Thank you to Marty’s Trophies who provided our beautifully designed winner’s trophies.
Finally, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Lone Tree Golf Club for graciously hosting the Paladin Golf Classic. Your stunning course provided the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day of golf. Thank you for your support and hospitality!
One of the highlights of the day was the raffle prizes, which featured a wide range of items that were generously donated by local businesses. Auction items ranged from sports gear to a Yeti cooler, to golf bags and club and more! It was heartwarming to see such generosity go towards changing the culture of youth sports.
“Seeing the support from the community to come out and make this a completely sold-out event was overwhelming,” said Paladin Sports Director of Relationships and Revenue Ty Schraufnagel. “We know people love to play golf, but the encouragement we heard from players wanting to support Paladin’s purpose of combining the power of Jesus, sports, and pouring into this next generation was incredible.”
In addition, announcing our new raffle was also a major attraction, with many people buying tickets in hopes of winning an amazing prize: a brand new golf cart! Those tickets are still being sold at PaladinSports.org/Golf and only 350 total are available to have a chance at winning the $10,000 custom golf cart.
Overall, the event was a huge success, not only in terms of the funds raised, but also in terms of the sense of community and camaraderie that was created among everyone involved. We are incredibly grateful to all of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and participants who helped make this event such a great success. Without their support, none of this would have been possible. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
