Paladin Sports Outreach Launches Football Club

Paladin Football Club will hold free club flag football tryouts for boys and girls ages 7-12 on Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3

Paladin Sports Outreach has announced the formation of Paladin Football Club, as well as the appointment of Koty Schwarz as Club Director. Schwarz will be tasked with building the grassroots club flag football program which will initially serve the East Valley communities of San Tan Valley and Queen Creek.

“We are excited to launch our football club this summer and are grateful to our board, staff and the community for the support necessary to launch this program well,” said Paladin Sports Director of Programs & Operations Blake Wilsford. “While sports, especially at the club level, naturally breeds intensity we believe as an organization that club football should be played with integrity, sportsmanship, respect and ultimately a Christ-like attitude on and off the field. We are excited to give boys and girls in our community the opportunity to play flag football in this type of positive environment.”

Paladin Sports Outreach has provided recreational flag football programming for San Tan Valley and Queen Creek families since 2012. Since its inception the organization’s flag football academies have provided a recreational football outlet for thousands of area youth, establishing Paladin Football Club was a natural next step for the organization.

“I feel so blessed and honored to join Paladin Sports as the Football Club Director,” said Schwarz. “Though football can be intense and requires hard work and dedication, it offers excitement and thrill that I hope every young athlete can experience. My heart for this program is to instill the love of Jesus into all who come through and to help our coaches and athletes progress in their talents and abilities while encouraging them to grow in who the Lord created them to be. My desire to focus on faith and family will hopefully make a lasting impact on everyone who comes through this program and ultimately throughout our community. I hope to inspire a love for the game as we have an absolute blast growing together in knowledge, abilities and heart.”

Paladin Football Club teams will play in USA Football and NFL certified flag football leagues and compete in local tournaments beginning this Fall. The club will conduct free tryouts June 2-3, tryout information and registration can be found here.

The club is seeking individuals who are interested in coaching. General football and coaching knowledge/expertise is preferred, along with a desire to train young athletes in skill, character and heart, while encouraging fun and joy every step of the way. If you would like more information on coaching please fill out this interest form or email Koty at koty@paladinsports.org.
