Paladin Sports announces plans for Arizona expansion, new Minnesota chapter
Paladin Sports Minnesota will serve the northwest Minneapolis communities of Anoka, Ramsey, Andover, Coon Rapids, Champlin, Dayton and Brooklyn Park
Paladin Sports Outreach recently announced during Mission Sunday at LifePoint Church it’s goal to be serving 25,000 kids per year by the end of 2026. According to Paladin’s founder, Jason Best, “We currently serve about 3,500 kids a year in the San Tan Valley area. As an organization we feel that God is calling us to take what we’ve done here for the last 15 years and move it across the state. Our goal within the next three years is to be serving 25,000 kids a year in the state of Arizona.”
Paladin Sports Outreach announced earlier in 2024 its expansion of recreational sports programming into the Eastmark area of East Mesa, those programs are set to launch this Saturday, February 3 at Silver Valley Elementary.
“We have been working diligently with local partners to expand the reach of our recreational sports programming in Arizona and solidify our organization’s commitment to bringing affordable, quality and Christ-centered sports to all Arizona communities,” said Paladin Sports Director of Programs & Operations Blake Wilsford.
A New Mission Field: Anoka, Minnesota
Paladin Sports Outreach is also announcing the formation of Paladin Sports Minnesota, as well as the appointment of E.J. Lee as Programs Manager. Lee, along with her husband Matthew, will be tasked with building the grassroots recreational sports programs which will initially serve the northwest Minneapolis communities of Anoka, Ramsey, Andover, Coon Rapids, Champlin, Dayton and Brooklyn Park.
“The launch of Paladin Minnesota is an incredible milestone for our organization and signals the type and breadth of expansion that we want to see happen as we march forward into our next 15 years,” said Best. “We are excited to see God work through E.J. and Matthew in Minnesota and honored to be able to give young athletes in these communities the opportunity to play the sports they love in a fun, positive and nurturing environment.”
Paladin Sports Minnesota will provide a variety of recreational youth sports programs for children ages 3-8 in its first year including t-ball, baseball, girls softball, soccer, basketball, flag football and floor hockey.
“When we first heard what Paladin Sports was doing in Arizona, it was something we wished we could sign our kids up for and now we are very proud to say it is becoming a reality,” said Lee. “We are bringing Paladin to Minnesota, giving our kids and families in the community a place to learn about God while having fun and playing sports. We are super excited to be a part of this new chapter with Paladin Sports Outreach.”
