In celebration of the holiday season and to honor our vision of reaching and connecting youth and families with Jesus Christ, Paladin Sports Outreach is preparing a special opportunity to bless a child of a family in need with the opportunity to #PlayPaladin! Paladin is asking 1,000 people to give a one-time donation of $7.10 to our youth sports scholarship fund between Tuesday, November 28 and Monday, December 4.

In contrast to the busy shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday offers a chance to participate in a different type of holiday. Giving Tuesday is a movement encouraging people to give back by donating time, money, or influence to a cause they’re passionate about. Scripture says that giving is one of the most genuine expressions of our love for others and for Christ. The Bible tells us that God will enrich us in every way, so that we can always be generous (2 Corinthians 9:11), reminding us that our generosity and encouragement brings generosity and encouragement back to us (Proverbs 11:25). We do not live generously because we have to, or because we will get something in return, but because of our desire to honor Jesus.

Paladin’s scholarship fund allows us to assist families in need by covering registration costs for recreation and club sports. Ultimately, our highest priority is that everyone can participate regardless of financial circumstance. Through your donation you will be providing families the opportunity to not only build connections locally in their communities, but also to expose their young children to the life changing character lessons that participation in team sports provide.

We would also like to encourage all of our Paladin families to take on a posture of generosity throughout this entire holiday season. If it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger, showing up for people you care about, or giving some of what you have to those in need, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.
