Paladin Sports Outreach Launches in Maryland Heights with Free Youth Soccer Clinic
Free soccer clinic at Remix Church will introduce Maryland Heights families to Paladin’s Christ-centered youth sports ministry.
Paladin Sports Outreach is excited to announce the launch of its Maryland Heights, Missouri, location, extending its mission of sharing the love of Christ through sports to families in the greater St. Louis area.
The community is invited to celebrate with a free soccer clinic for children ages 3–8 on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 10–11:30 a.m. at Remix Church, located at 2240 Bennington Place in Maryland Heights.
The clinic will give children an opportunity to play, practice soccer skills, and make new friends while introducing families to Paladin’s approach to youth sports: Faith, Family, and Fun.
Bringing the Mission to Maryland Heights
Founded in 2008, Paladin Sports Outreach connects children and families with Jesus Christ and the local church through youth sports. Its ministry brings together athletic development, personal encouragement, and relationships that reach beyond practices and games.
The Maryland Heights launch begins with a simple invitation: come meet us, bring your children, and experience a morning of soccer together.
For families, it is an opportunity to discover a new community. For Paladin, it is an opportunity to listen, build trust, and begin serving the people who call Maryland Heights home.
Meet Chelsi Matthews
Leading the Maryland Heights launch is Chelsi Matthews, a Paladin Sports Missionary whose background brings together collegiate athletics, education, and international ministry.
Chelsi grew up in Sardis, Alabama, and played multiple sports before continuing her basketball career at Shorter University in Georgia, where she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her involvement with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a sports evangelism trip with her college basketball team helped shape her calling to ministry.
Since graduating in 2013, Chelsi has served in ministry in several U.S. communities and abroad, including more than seven years in Ghana. Throughout those experiences, sports have provided a way to connect with young people, share the Gospel, and build lasting relationships.
Now, Chelsi is bringing that experience to the St. Louis area through Paladin. Her heart is to help children and families grow in faith and community, using sports as an opportunity for encouragement, mentorship, and discipleship.
Free Soccer Clinic for Kids Ages 3–8
The launch clinic will focus on helping young children enjoy the game in a welcoming, encouraging setting. Families from Maryland Heights and surrounding communities are invited to attend.

In the coming months, Paladin plans to introduce additional youth sports opportunities, seasonal recreational leagues, community outreach events, and partnerships with local schools and churches. The organization’s goal is to create year-round opportunities for children to participate in positive, affordable sports experiences while strengthening families and building lasting community connections.
