Thank You, South Tucson: Celebrating Our Free Soccer Clinic

Paladin Sports Outreach recently welcomed children and families for a free youth soccer clinic in South Tucson filled with learning, encouragement and fun.

The clinic gave young athletes an opportunity to develop their skills, meet new teammates and enjoy the game in a positive, welcoming environment. Players worked through age-appropriate activities led by Paladin staff, coaches and volunteers, with plenty of opportunities to run, compete and play.

More importantly, the event offered families a first look at the kind of youth sports experience Paladin is working to build in the Tucson community—one centered on faith, family and fun.

More Than a Soccer Clinic

At Paladin, sports are a way to reach children, strengthen families and build meaningful relationships within a community. Every activity, conversation and moment of encouragement at the clinic contributed to that larger purpose.

The enthusiasm of the players was matched by the support of the parents, volunteers and community members who helped make the event possible. Their participation demonstrated both the need and the opportunity for affordable, Christ-centered youth sports programming in South Tucson.

“I’m excited to serve the families of South Tucson and build something that impacts our community for years to come,” said Gantt. “Sports have the power to bring people together, and we’re looking forward to creating a place where kids can have fun, build confidence, and experience the love of Christ through authentic relationships.”

A Growing Paladin Community

This clinic represented an important step in Paladin’s continued growth in Tucson, but it was only the beginning. We look forward to creating more opportunities for local children to play, grow in confidence, build friendships and experience the love of Jesus through sports.
