Youth Sports Ministry Opportunities

Paladin Sports Outreach is building faith-based sports programs in communities across the country, and we’re inviting missionary-minded leaders to help reach kids and families through sport.

Many of our strongest programs begin with a single leader who feels called to use sports as a platform for discipleship, mentorship, and community impact.

Why Your Community?

Across the country, youth sports have become one of the most consistent gathering places for families.

Week after week, parents and kids gather at fields, courts, and gyms. Relationships form on sidelines. Coaches influence young athletes in ways that extend far beyond the game.

But many sports environments today are highly competitive and often transactional—leaving little room for mentorship, discipleship, or long-term relationship building.

Paladin exists to help change that culture.

We believe sports can become a powerful platform for Gospel-centered leadership when the right leaders step forward. By investing in coaches and mentors who care about the whole family—not just wins and losses—we seek to build sports environments rooted in faith, character, and belonging.

Your community may be ready for exactly that.

What Leadership Looks Like

As a Youth Sports Missionary, you may help lead programs that include:

  • Faith-based youth sports teams and seasons
  • Weekly team devotions and discipleship moments
  • Volunteer coaches serving as mentors and small-group leaders
  • Community service and outreach initiatives
  • Partnerships with local churches, schools, and organizations

Sports, age groups, and launch timelines vary by community.

Every region develops differently, depending on the needs of families and the leadership God raises up locally.

More Than Coaching

This role goes beyond game-day responsibilities.

Youth Sports Missionaries are culture-setters, disciple-makers, and relationship builders.

If you’re looking only to coach practices and games, this may not be the right fit.

But if you feel called to lead people—to invest in kids, families, and your community—this may be exactly where God is guiding you.

Ideal Candidates

The leaders who thrive in this role are often:

  • Coaches, parents, or community leaders with a heart for ministry
  • Individuals comfortable leading spiritually and relationally
  • Leaders who value structure, standards, and accountability
  • People willing to build relationships with families and volunteers
  • Those open to support-raising and partnership development

Formal coaching experience is helpful, but not required.

Character, consistency, and calling matter most.
